Yesterday the second through sixth grade classes went to the Cubs game at Wrigley Field. Excitement on the bus ride there mounted as the kids chanted "Go Cubs, GO". We were able to arrive early and get to our fantastic seats prior to the game. The weather was perfect for a day at the stadium. All of the second graders were really well-behaved and stuck together in the big crowds. I would like to thank our chaperones, Ms. DeLeon, Mr Lara, and Ms. Ramos, for helping keep an eye on everyone. We were able to see one Cubs home run, but when we left the game our team was down by one. As you can see below, all of the fresh air left most of us exhausted and a few took naps on the bus ride home. Upon arriving back at school, we heard the good news that the Cubs came from behind to win 7-6! Go Cubs GO!
